Day job and late acquisition of disc harrow caused me to miss my window of opportunity to get some winter rye or clover down this fall.

Is there any forage seed worth putting down at this point? Legume, grass, clover, anything? Or am I best waiting till Spring?

I'm in far North Texas, bordering OK.

I'm far from your area, but I'm not aware of any alternatives other than "dormant seeding."

Seeding during dormancy

Your best bet is to contact your local Cooperative Extension office. The folks there can advise you about your alternatives.
