I have been looking at UTV's and am leaning towards the 31 HP Cub Volunteer. I am aware that Cub Cadet Quality has been up and down over the years but there UTV's look well made to me. I have a Cub 3205 Lawnmower that is almost 10 years old and it has been great. Also, there is a real good dealer close by. In UTV's there are a lot of choices, I have been looking for 6 months and I keep going back to the Cub. The gator and Kubota look like great machines but the local dealers are difficult to work with. Anyway, I am curious if owners of the Cubs have been happy with there choice? Thanks!

amigauser,
thanks for the information.I see you have a kubota. I got a B2920 w/fel and bh last fall. It's been great. I've been looking at utv's for quite awhile. I was really leaning towards a diesel model until I found this 31 hp monster with 48 lbs of torque. Also, like I said before, I have a real good cub dealer 2 miles from my house. I know cub builds some junk but they do have some good equipment as well. My 3205 has been a good mower. Anyway thanks again....CJ

I would buy a Kawasaki mule diesel. Known high quality and high reliability. If you want gas, the Kaw is fuel injected where this is carb. Cub tends to jump in and jump out of markets. It wouldn't shock me to see no support for these in 2 years.

john,
the 31 hp cub is fuel injected. their 20 hp model is not. also, I don't think cub offers a diesel at this time. they do offer a two year warranty and the kaw is 12 months. I am sure there are alot more mules out running and that is a positive. I haven't decided anything for sure yet. I'm kind of waiting for the economy to settle down a little before any major purchases. Thanks for the input.....CJ

as with many UTVs, it looks like a big plastic toy --

-- just MHO.

Does anyone know if a 2011 Cub Cadet 4 x2 will fit on a 5" x 10" trailer?.. It has stock wheels

Based on the '09 Volunteer 4x4 we have at our club, I doubt it will fit on a 5x10..My RTV500 fit on that size trailer but I believe it is quite a but narrower than a volunteer...Based on what I see heere, it doesn't look like that would work width wise.
