Lost the studs on the front varable pully the one on the bevel box has any one rebuilt one . I have one of he studs for sample. I was thinking of making new ones using tool steel any ideas. thanks geochom

4140 or 4340 would be a better choice, much cheaper than heat treated tool steel and perform as well as soft tool steal. Then there is the cost of heat treatment. Add to that not everyone can properly heat treat tool steel and the studs give subpar performance ie break easier than the soft ones
