There is a device called tattletale. It cost about $1000. It consist of a base unit that you place in your house and a assortment of sensors that can be placed up to 1/2 mile away. If the sensors are moved or disturbed the base unit will sound an alarm and you will get a phone call from a monitoring service within a few minutes. you can either check it out yourself of have the monitoring service call the police. I think the monitoring service cost about $40 a month.

I keep mine locked up in the barn. Other than that, all I can do is pay the insurance premiums. One thing about homeowners, it does cover your tractor, but only if it's on your property. I use mine at my hunting land, the church, etc. occasionally. When being transported behind the truck, the trailer is covered by my truck insurance, but what is on the trailer is not covered. While the tractor is in use on another piece of property, it's not covered by homeowners. I ended up going with a personal articles policy for the tractor specifically. That way it is covered no matter where it is or what I'm doing with it. Wasn't very expensive, I think it was $370 for the year.

Insite PGAMS...Provide Insite into the things that are important to you!! is a company local to me that offers devices to monitor multiple & varied parameters and send a text message immediately to you. You can monitor whether your tractor is running, where it is, etc & call the police yourself if you think something criminal is going on. Their website leaves a lot to be desired for non-technical types like myself but from talking to the company owners they can monitor any parameter that a sensor exists for.
There's a big difference between telling the cops "my tractor was stolen sometime in the last two weeks" v.s. "my tractor's being stolen right now & it's on route xxx going south at the intersection of route yyy". MikeD74T
