I have had my Kubota BX24 since 2004. Overall I am very happy with it. One weak point was the anti-scalp wheels. The grease zerks in plastic never really cut it for me. Pretty early on they pulled out and I did neglect the wheels. A few years ago one of the mower wheel mounts tore at a weld. I had it rewelded, but did not ensure it was in proper alignment. This year I finally decided to get things back to right. I cut out the bad weld and got it welded again with the proper alignment. I had previously bought the deck stand axles from Mower Axle Deck Co.

I was very happy with the deck stand axles so I invested in the anti-scalp wheels. I like the idea of a grease zerk in metal. The wheels are fitted with metal bushings so I think they will last a long time, now that I can keep them greased.
I was amazed at how badly worn my misaligned wheel was. I expected the wheel to be wallowed out but didn't have a clue that in a plastic to metal contact, the metal would wear away so much. My wheels were not supporting the deck while mowing, but I may run them a little higher now.
