John Deere M 1947
Can I use regular anti-freeze for my 1947 JD M?

My M is not running well over 1/2 throttle, seams to not have as much UUMMPH, and starts to stall out at times in 2nd, 3rd, and when I put on the lights. Any ideas?

Thanks in advance for any and all help.

Yeah, you can use plain old antifreeze, but make sure it is mixed BEFORE putting it in the radiator. They have issues if you dump in antifreeze, then water because the lack of water pump will not mix the two. If you are working it hard, make sure the overflow pipe is clear and fill it up. Go out and drive it and some will flow out of the overflow. Then don't go back and add anymore...

Should work fine if the system is clear and radiator clean..
