Looks like a good & quick splitter, Logs look easy to split though. Our iron bark hardwood firewood I don't think would work quite that easy.

Farm Show Magazine showed that splitter several issues ago asking if anyone knew anything about it or had ever seen one like it. FARM SHOW - "Mystery Wood Splitter" Built By Pennsylvanian was a response to the original article.

I like this, thanks for posting! That would be easy to build.

Splitter looks much safer than a splitting maul, it's moving slow and methodical. Certainly a chainsaw is more dangerous than this manual splitter. I imagine the first few splits are cautious, then about the 10th round, start to get all crazy with that left hand and by the 30th you got it down.

That wood looks like it splits so easy it would be more dangerous with a splitting maul.

Only thing scary is the knife on his belt, it could be razor sharp. :laughing:

It looks like a better way to make kindling. Slitting kindling with a hatchet scares me.
