Another old grain silo gone.

A shame. About 155 miles south of me. We had a fire here at the ADM grain mills about 15-20 years ago. Didn't burn down and it was rebuilt. It was glowing - red hot - for two days after the fire was out. They said it was a grain dust started fire.

Lucky it didn't explode. Grain dust can be highly explosive.

Dry corn burns quite well (and hot). I burn corn in my biomass stoves to heat the house in the winter, have for years. Very efficient fuel to use for heat.

Larry - it might have exploded. I live ten miles SW of Cheney where Archer Daniels Midland grain mills are located. I was in Cheney on the second day and the entire scene was still a really hot deal. Fortunately - nobody died.
