Another newbie in Texas

I took my camera with me to get some pics of my new baby, but by the time we got the truck out of the mud it was getting cold (for Houston that is - in the 40's) and dark. I'll snap some and post them in the "all other brands" forum after the holidays cause I got a friends coming in from Minnesota. They always want to come down here about this time of year for some odd reason.

Welcome to TBN. Sorry to hear about your living in H__. We are so glad to be out of there and back home in Bastrop county. We followed the job market down there 18 yrs ago. They still have hurricanes there don't they? .... Figures the first yr we were gone would be the year of no storms.

Hey, you probably got out of here "while the gettin' was good." Yeah, at least I'm not so close to the coast that they have forced evacuations of my neighborhood when them nasty buggers come to visit. Sat through Ike and the 16 days without power last year. It was real nice, like camping in in a swamp.

I spent Ike on the floor of the NWS office in Dickinson. (my job) The eye passed right over us. I think the meterologists were having spontaneous orgasms from it. I slept through most of it. As long as nothing broke - I just had to be there.------but not no mo'----Ah'm retared.

Glad I didn't have a mouth full of hot coffee when I read that. (Note to self)..
