do I check the fluids level with the dipstick screwed in or out.
Also the center extrusion under the hydraulic valve assembly is leaking out the weep hole---are there "O" rings to be replaced or is it metal to metal seal?---Last question---The rear wheel lock shift handle won,t stay down--it pops up immediately ? All of your help is much appricated.

The dipstick thing is an ongoing debate. the trans and hyd level arnt that touchy. I wouls screw in the engine as we push in the old type when checking. the diff lock is supposed to be held in momentarily while you are getting unstuck and springs back when the pressure is equalized in the differential. Not sure I understand the leak, is it a few drips (hense the need for a weep hole or a constant leak?

Most of the instruction manuals that come with any Asian equipment I've owned specify threaded dipsticks check levels with the threads resting ON the hole and unthreaded dipsticks check levels by being pushed in as far as they'll go. Neither the Jinma nor the KAMA owner's manual specifies, so I just go with what is specified for the other Asian stuff.

Weep hole? Which hydraulic valve assembly?

The lever is designed to be held in place while diff lock is engaged. When you get unstuck, just let go.
