After looking and and pricing and reading brochures & specs and pestering dealers for the last year I finally took delivery of a CK25 gear this past weekend. KL130 FEL, grill guard, Kioti 2365 BH, 5' Bush Hog Squealer, Woods 60" box blade, and a big payment book. Of course it rained for 3 days so new-toy-playtime was sort of limited. I'd attach a picture but apparently the jpg is too large.
After starting out last year looking at a Kubota B7800 HST and then re-thinking and seriously considering an L2800 HST, my final 3 choices finally came down to an L3400 DT, CK30 gear, or CK-25 gear. I liked them all, and the CK30 and L3400 were within $300 or each other, but I went with the CK25 because I think it'll do everything I'll ever want and I could afford the BH with it and not the other two. I'm certain I'd be kicking myself for years if I'd decided to wait and try to pick up a backhoe sometime later.
Thanks to folks here for posting and answering so many good questions over the last year. I pretty much just lurked and read and got answers to most of my own questions.
And kudos to Wallace Tractor & Equipment for making a long distance purchase fairly painless. Although not the closest dealer geographically, I'm glad so far that I was pointed their way. Rick & Amy (and Amy's dad, Dave, who made the drive to deliver) were exceptionally friendly and responsive and I thoroughly enjoyed dealing with them. -WSJ
