Another Craigslist find

First off ... hope you guys don't mind me slumming around here still, the LS forum still feels like home to me

So, I've been keeping an eye out for a good boxblade to take some grading jobs, finally found a steal!

7' (84") ... cat-2 HD box with 7 ripper shanks (not pictured).

Drove about an hour each way to get it today, not bad compared to the drives I've been making. Paid $300 cash plus I threw in for trade a 3pt boom pole that I picked up for less than $50 last year. Now it just needs a coat of paint but it's in really good shape.

How do y'all think I did ?

Well I guess red for now ... red will still look good on a blue tractor if LS gets around to making what I want (HST in a U series) and I feel is worth it to trade in the Massey.

I believe this is cat 2 ... just a slightly different pin-mount setup, which still fits cat 1. I think cat 1 & 2 can interchange, but not 3. I'll take a pic and post it in a bit

The back blade looks to be set up for either 1 or 2, and the BB looks a little wider like cat 2. Are the holes in your lower arms the same size as the BB holes or larger and is the pin you use cat 1 or cat 2.

Looks good. I was thinking about a smaller one, myself. You could always paint it black. That would match either color tractor.

Cat 1 has 7/8'' diameter pins for the lower links and 3/4'' for the toplink.

Now it just needs a coat of paint but it's in really good shape.

If your tools don't have a few scratches on them, you aren't using them right or at all. I have red, red/black and yellow and they all look good with blue or orange. You guys with your color code are beginning to sound like a bunch of women matching purses and shoes. HAAHAHAAHAAHHAHAH.

Lol that is true. I guess I'm just a bit feminine then ... I like color matching my stuff. Threw a coat of red on the bb last night (drying in the barn), still need to do the back blade & rake. I've got to figure out what to do with my blue Wallenstein chipper, that's gonna b more work to paint
