Ok, if i'm going to plant two different varieties of super sweet corn and indian corn what is the rule of thumb to prevent cross polination? I believe I've read that if they tossel 15 days apart you are ok. So my question if one corn is 75 day and the other is 80 day, will i be ok if i plant the second one ten days after the first one? I probably should've just brought one seed and just staggered the plantings to get the corn at different dates, now I'll know better for next time.

I would wait 15 days to plant it... I'm not sure how much you can actually trust the "80 days to maturity"... it all depends on the weather/temperature starting from the time you planted the first patch of corn...

I've got the same problem as you... 2 varieties to plant. My first patch, Illini Extra Sweet, just popped out of the ground, then the weather turned very cool and rainy... and it has just sat there, I don't think it's grown an inch since it's come up nearly 2 weeks ago... and now it's kinda getting down to the wire to get corn in the ground, so hopefully if we ever dry out enough to get the Peaches-n-Cream in the ground, there will be enough growing days between the 2 so that they won't cross-pollenate...
