This is my first tractor and probably my only tractor.
I felt the same way, and ended up buying a
B2910. I am real happy with it and it works well. It even cut the grass real well with a RFM, and I suppose had I bought a MMM I would still be totally happy with one tractor on my 3.7 acres.
My unsolicited advice would be to carefully check out ALL the tractors in the
B7500 and the
B2910 size range. At first I thought the
B2910 was HUGE. Now I see it is perfectly sized for my needs. I do have a
bx2200 also, but if I had to only have one tractor, the BX would be in someone else's shed.
The
B2910/rfm cut grass better than my Yardman garden tractor. I just had too many things to cut around and felt a MMM would be better for me, and the wife approved of the MMM purchase with a BX attached, so I went for it in her moment of weakness... /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif
As you increase tractor size, you get more tractor for dollar spent.
If you can afford it, err on the larger size, and get the most for your money.
Now that I have the smaller bx, if I could, I might like to trade the
B2910 on a
L3430...but that won't happen. The
B2910 is just too perfect for my long term needs... /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif
By the way, the
L3430 calls to me because of the BH90 backhoe, which is a better hoe than the 3PH hoe I have for my
B2910...and only for that reason...well, almost only... /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif
