another 1720 wiring question

I went to start it up today and the starter kept turning the motor over even after the ignition was off. It ended up melting the solenoid and most of the wiring at the solenoid. Can anyone tell me what i need to check. this thing has been a nightmare.

Your solenoid is sticking. Change you should be ok
