Annnnd you made it. In case you weren't counting, that's 33,000 motor vehicle traffic deaths each year, according to the CDC.
Think of it this way: if it's safe enough for you to drive to the beach, it's definitely safe enough to go in the water.

Love it.... wow.. killer cows... who knew? Me for one.. My dad was dang near killed by a bull a couple of times... and I have had the heck knocked out of me working cattle... yep ole bossie, and do a number on you real fast like. And we all know motor vehicle accidents, wipe a whole lot of folks off the face of the earth.

Drives me crazy after of winter of being fed, the heifers, even though on green grass, come running every time I go in the field. Of course the bull comes with them.

Speaking as an ex farmer , there is no excuse for having an animal with a "bad" temperament. If you can't go in the paddock or yard then it is hamburger as far as I am concerned. I farmed for 25 years , and would get in with 1000 kg bulls and shift or work them on foot.My herd(beef) had been culled on temperament for 36 years when I stopped farming.
Today my farm is leased out and the leasee has some dairy breeding bulls on the place and some of them would attack you if you went into the paddock with them. This guys priorities(milk, milk, milk) are skewed to me.
You need to be safe with the animals you work with.

If I was a farmer, that would be my creed also.

yep, I saw more than one animal culled from the herd when the dangers just got too great.. We had a very large billy goat attack my mother and sister. I was very small at the time. When my father got home... well, lets just say, we ate "goat burgers" for a while after that.

<snert> In Australia, everything is out to kill you.

Even the trees... eucalyptus will randomly cast/shed a branch, even on a calm day. :confused3:

Naw, why worry about those guys. Here's the always number 1 killer. It's none other than the North American White Tail Deer. Those critters are just like Kamikazi pilots. All the woods in the world and the damned things will always find their way to the road. Just take a drive on I 81 in PA and you are sure to see 3 or 4 smashed on the side of the road.

yep, see them dead on the side of the road every day. I have no idea of the amount of damage in billions of dollars they do to automobiles, and how many people are hurt or killed from deer caused accidents, but I bet it is a bunch.

Yeah, I knew you all had some pretty unfriendly spiders and snakes down there, but "unfriendly" trees too!?
