That whole project was a disaster of you ask me. The water issue must have been terrible, and the time and cost to fix it enourmous. At least YT money paid for it, I guess.

And ..... the structure resale value....maybe....negative!
I don't think he cares about that... he has a dream and he made it a reality. Still he has plans to improve his "grotto"...

I have a friend that at 76 yo has more dreams and plans for the future than I ever did... I'm glad for those people. You can't take the money with you but that castle will stand for an F-ing long time.

Andrew's castle has made him a lot of money with views and subscriptions.

It has high value as a very unique show prop, which wouldn't happen with a conventional build.

Welding practice, better than burning coupons!

I like him because he's not selling anything.

No agenda, not begging for views and subscribers.

It's just Andrew doing his thing...

That's not exactly correct. As with much Realty stuff, the money flowing behind the scenes is what makes the whole thing work. Doing "his thing" with lots of youtube money.

Spending money is my thing. If I had the time to drag around a camera with me and edit, the extra cash would be nice.

Untreated, it's gonna make a helll of a mess, no? Imagine what the perimeter of his castle will look like in time? BTW. What kind of a castle has a big steel roof over it. lol

No. Everyone puts up rusty metal now for accent pieces. 3/8 will take 200 years to rust through, maybe a lot longer on a roof where water will not sit for long.

Are you jealous of him or just a negative person? Both of which get old on every point, you having to be a contrarian to some obscure point that makes no sense.

I put in 600' of 4"x 1/4" steel driveway edging in 20 years ago.
So far, it looks as though it will last for at least another 100+ years.
