I am in the market for a grapple. After doing tons of reading, I think I have it narrowed down to the ANBO UT-X 61" (~$2800) or the Construction Attachments 1RGCMP60 60" Compact Root Grapple (~$1800). Looking at the specs, the two look fairly similar. I know ANBO has an incredible reputation, but I'm not sure their reputation is worth an additional $1000. I'll mainly be using the grapple to move downed trees and brush around. I will be doing some root clearing, but I won't be digging out 100 year old oak stumps! Feedback from anyone with first hand knowledge of the two grapples would really appreciated. Thanks.

Weight is very similiar. I'm looking for more quality feedback. The specs between the two grapples and the design seem very comparable, yet the ANBO costs about $1000 more. Is it worth the additional cost???

I have the Anbo 60 inch GRM root grapple( 35 horse Jinma tractor) and I use it to move logs and clear and pile wood debris for burning. I am very pleased with the performance.

I'm also looking at the GR-M. Why did you pick the GR-M style vs the UT-X style grapple?

Have you considered a tooth-bar and thumb??A lot less weight and money.

I have looked into it, but toothbars are not cheap (I was quoted $600 from my dealer) and a hydraulic thumb is easily the same price. You add those two up and its nearly the same price as a dedicated grapple.
