An issues with older B7100's?

I am looking at a late 80's B7100, were there any issues with these machines?

They run forever and are very basic, find a a early 90's model and you will have a simple tractor that is hard to break.

I've seen a few issues discussed here with steering boxes when used with loaders. Also overheating if radiator is not kept clean from straw, etc.

My brother has own one for over 20 years. Bought it used and still just keeps on running. Probably 3000-4000 hours. I had another one about the same year as his. Used it for 3-4 years and then upgraded. Both were extremely reliable tractors. Both were gear driven but there are HSTs.

They are about as durable and simple as a CUT gets. A little cramped to get on and off with the "hump" in the middle. A Kubota dealer once told me he had one traded in with over 10,000 hours.

I purchased one new and put 3000 hours on it before getting a larger tractor.

Mine did a lot of loader work and dragging heavy rocks and logs around.

They are surely a sturdy little tractor with my only complaint being the lack of power steering.

I had B7100 for 14 years,and that little mule will out work you everytime..only down fall,no power steering.
