A farmer who wrecked a car parked on his land with a tractor has been cleared of criminal damage after he successfully used the 400-year-old legal principle that “an Englishman’s home is his castle”.

Sounds legit. England better be careful looking up case law, they may actually become a few people again if they learn to read.

Good bless the queen

We need more of that!
Our laws in the US stem from English law, but to me, that would be justifiable in the US as well

Kudos to Mr. Hooper!!!

After reading the article and watching the video, I'm surprised it went to trial. The young person without a shirt was clearly causing the problem and hopefully he is in a jail somewhere. The farm owner did the right thing, and I'm glad he did what he did!!!

I think most of us would do something like this. Given the chance. Yes, for once, the court got it right.

I saw, somewhere, a farmer had posted and told people not to park in his field. They kept parking, so he plowed the ground deep around the vehicles. No damage, but i'm sure it cost them a bit to get the car extracted.
Yep, it's happened a couple times:

Looks like these were both in the UK...and more power to the farmers!!!

I like the videos where people parked in a farmers field, so they spread liquid manure....
