I just bought a S&W MP Shield in 9mm last night. Had to ask if I could buy ammo at the same time as I thought that was a no-no before. But they did walk the bag with the pistol to the door while I carried the bag with everything else (ammo, holster, soft clamshell, etc.). Won't get a chance to run some rounds through it until this weekend. I was worried about my RA wrists but I could work the action without problems. I'll see how I can handle the 124gr. kick then probably drop to 115gr. for carry.

I have never seen such election protesting in all my live, starting with President Johnson. I dont remember stopping traffic, burning flags when Obama was elected, dont remember that going on when Nixon was elected, only Vietnam protesting, to me it's kinda scary.

The good news for Maine, yes on 3 did not pass, in other words mr. Bloomberga from New York CITY didn't get his way up here and I can now still borrow's my neighbor's gun to hunt clay pigeons without going to jail, ayah............

I wouldn't put much stock in any article from the "Washington Post Hole" even if published yesterday. While Trump indicated he is pro-2nd Amendment, it's too early to tell what will happen or Policy Direction. That's what makes the riots so stupid. I'm just glad the left communists are destroying their own cities. Maybe we should start chanting "Let 'em Burn".

Well, I still feel better that we have elected someone that is stated pro second amendment than someone who had a platform of anti second amendment. What the Trump administration will do remains to be seen, but I am guardedly optimistic.

The NY 10 round restriction ended up getting shot down IIRC, not sure why CA thinks that they need to try it too...


Its fine to have a requirement for people from your state, but (IMO) as long as your state of residence has a permit process that meets federal standard X, you should be allowed to carry in all 50 states (just like with a drivers license).

Given the conversation I overheard at the Firing Pin [our only local range] recently, you still have to have your >10 round mags disabled, and if it's in an AR-type rifle, the mag has to also be fixed in place in the weapon to prevent change out to a non-"SAFE" law compliant magazine later.

The other patron had ordered the weapon online with shipping to the licensed dealer, paid them the [I think] newly increased $25-30 transfer fee, and still couldn't take it home until he paid them to make it "SAFE"-compliant.
