Wasn't Ruger a big supporter of the Clinton gun laws because the Mini-14 and Mini-30 weren't affected?

Gaaack.. You are saying assault rifle again!?!
Unless we are talking a Sturmgewehr 44, the others are simply semi automatic weapons.
A sturmgewehr is about the only legitimate gun you should use the "assault" term on. Because it I quite literally a 'storm' or assault rifle.
Assault weapon / rifle is a made up media bonanza term..
So???
I'm back copying the mail and not commenting. You people have thin skins obviously.
Beta-masters with their sky screens are too touchy. I have one on the shelf and never use it.
I'll buy it off you if you're interested in selling it. I like them, I shoot my bow's through them too.
I flat refuse to discuss any platforms other than sporting bolt action rifles or F class rigs from now on out. We can do pistols as well.
I blew one of the uprights off and that was it. I had to replace it. Problem with the beta-master and other sky screen chrono's is that you have to align the firearm on the bench with the upright spacing and that is hard to do with high magnification scopes with a limited side FOV. The Euhler is different... no uprights and the Magnetospeed attaches the the end of the muzzle and senses the metallic bullet through induction.
