Same here. Rcbs sent me a screw for a trimmer I had a couple years.. It had a damaged head.. A defect I didn't notice till then. No hassle.

King butter sent me a missing manual and split ring retainer for the gear is when I found both missing on a new machine.

Lots of mfrs will try to take care of you.

Sig Sauer will send gun parts too. I had them send me a slide return spring for my .380 no charge.

Entirely too much fun!. I learned something in that video. I did not realize that the C96's barrel reciprocated. I always though it was fixed.

For those of you that don't know the difference between a clip and a magazine, note when Jerry loaded his "blaster" he used a clip to load his magazine with. The clip held the loaded rounds (or cartridges) he stripped the clip of cartridges into the magazine of the pistol with his thumb and then he fired the cartridges thru the firearm and the bullets exited the barrel.

Maybe some of you learned something today too!:)

Yup, lots of military rifles etc. could be loaded with stripper clips. AR 15 mags can be loaded that way too!

The "other" clip is En bloc clip made famous by the M1 Garand. It wasn't the first to use it though. En bloc clips are used to feed blind or fixed magazines (built into the firearm).

And of course you have your moon clip. Cylinder is recessed to accept the moon clip. I love moon clips because you don't have to chase your brass. Jerry's revolver reloading world record was done with moon clips. Kind of a pain to load/unload (I'm talking about the individual cartridges in the clip - I have a special tool for that) but you don't have to forfeit your expensive brass at competitions like you do with a semi-auto ;)

They call that tool a de-mooner:)

I prefer non mc revolvers... I lil a speed loader if 1@ won't do.
I fear I'd loose a mc in the time of need..

I purposely stay away from this thread simply because as a builder of custom loaded ammunition for long range hunting for our entire group of 5 hunters and competition marksmen (F Class 1000 yard competition) I don't want to discuss my methods or regimen for loading sub-sub MIL/MOA ammunition or what brand of components I use, but, if you want to obtain first quality once fired Military Brass in 223 (5.56 NATO), 308 Winchester or 300 Winchester Magnum calibers,

I would suggest taking a hard look at Monmouth Brass. I've purchased many hundreds of casings from them in the past and their prices are really good, I receive very little culls and their shipping is fast. I use their OFMB casings for informal shooting and load workups. My final builds are all in virgin Lapua or Norma brass however.

You can buy in quantities up to 20,000 casings at a time and specify exactly what you want, in my case I want all LC.

I believe they also sell loaded rounds, but that is not my thing. I roll all my own.
