I believe the butt chewing was universal ... regardless of branch. I've even heard soldiers that have the FN FAL get chewed out too if they are caught carrying it by the carry handle.

why have a handle if you can't use it??

Picked up a 1,400 round tub of Remington 22 LR for $90 which I didn't think was bad.

The local fleet farm had 4 buckets of the 1400 round tubs for sale last week. $86.99 ea. I passed on it. Was stand in the aisle talking to another guy. It didn't take long for all of them to disappear. Several other guys also passed on them. .062/ea. is too high for me. I still have about 10K rounds laying around the house.
I'll keep burning up old stuff and watch the prices/availability of new stuff. Eventually I'll have to start buying.

I still find it hard to swallow that the most common rifle/pistol round is the hardest to find.

I walked into a Walmart a few days ago, they had hi speed Winchester 22RF and also a couple kinds of CCI 22 Win. Mag. ammo...

I was at a Cabelas on Saturday, and they had both, 22lr and mag's too...
