Yep, but it is over twice that in most places when you can find it. The price of copper and tin and lead is down too.. There is no reason for the price to be so high other than demand is still so high.

I don't know how widespread this is, but (at least in my area), it looks like .22 LR availability is dramatically improving.
Over the course of the weekend, I visited Gander Mountain, Rural King and Dick's and all of them had all kinds of .22 with the only restriction on purchasing being your wallet.
The cheapest was some Federal in bulk for $19 for 325 rounds. Most of it worked out to be about $4/100 rounds, depending on the brand.
The only place that I haven't seen .22 with regularity is Wal-mart. I would assume that when we see it there on the shelves again, we could say the shortage is over (for now).
I think the 6 to 8 cents per round is just apt to be the new normal going forward.
Good luck and take care.
I bought two 325 boxes of 22lr 17.34 a box at wal mart
I missed of on the big score a 500 brick! If I went to wal mart sooner in the week. That is pretty decent.
Still nothing here at Wally World. This area (Branson, Mo.) seems to be a backwater for ammunition supply.
