Also another interesting fact is that most all the people that visited that county fair didn't drink raw milk and are on non private water systems, and they didn't get sick.
I wouldn't be too sure about that, this was and still is a very rural county. And many people in this area did at one time or another in their youth did drink raw milk and water from private supplies. And also when all the bull got settled the cause was one well point that had gotten contaminated by a septic system. At that time the Fair had several small pump stations drawing from a shallow aquifer.
This is and was a large dairy production area, for many years their were more cows then people.
I believe that now days it's about even.

Traditionally, the Amish will grow food for their own tight knit community. It now sounds like they want to be a large food source for the public without following the same safety practices like other's have to. There is a different set of rules for a lemonade stand and a large bottling company....for good reason.

No.

They’ve been a large food source for several decades. They have markets everywhere serving millions of people in southeast PA, DE, NJ and MD. They have them in Philadelphia at the Reading Terminal Market right in the middle of downtown.
They have several large markets all around southeast PA. People also travel into Lancaster County to buy their food. They have their own brands of meats, cheeses, even doughnuts.
Great people and the bulk of the food they make blows away the boxed, processed junk at the supermarket.
I buy food from them at 2 farm markets near me. They will bring their foods to distant farm markets and sell to anyone.

I'd probably be buying food from them if they were in this area. We get most of our veg and meat from local sources. When i was younger, we used local raw cows and goat milk products.

Not saying food safety regulations are all bad, and some of them are primarily to try and ward off issues because of the way food processors, process their products. Take chicken, because of the way they process it, it's more likely to be contaminated by fecal related products, and because of that, they soak chicken parts in highly chlorinated water.

There are some wonderful cheeses that are sold in Europe but can't be sold here.

They still have to follow government regulations. Here is a link with more information about the issue. Raw milk from the farm actually killed someone.

We pay $13 per gallon for totally raw milk, it’s labeled “pet food” but everyone knows what is going on. Been using it for 15 years, very safe and clean Farm, personally known.

I’d say twelve people drinking it daily for 15 years is a pretty good testimony to its safety.

Amish had their own system and weren't bothered/regulated by the government.
this guy has made some serious errors. One was putting raw milk into the marketplace and selling it off hisfarm. It ended up in California.
I don't know what the romance is about raw milk, but there are people who think they gotta have it.

I was not impressed with the so called news article.
However I am even less impressed with many of the USDA regulations.
I grew up drinking raw milk. If the animals are healthy and cleaned before milking
and the milk is cooled promptly and kept cool it is not a problem.
Multi-state 2? outbreak 2 people wow we need to really stomp on that.
How did they get the milk had they traveled to PA, sure couldn't ship raw milk that far.
Also drinking raw milk and non-clorinated water will expose your body to many different
bacteria which your body will fit and you will actually become healthier for it.
Many years ago at our county fair we had an episode of E. coli which got quite a few people
sick. An interesting fact was that of all the people that got sick none had grown up drinking raw milk,
none had come from households on private water systems.
Sister fed me mud pies as a child and we played outside from dawn til dusk. We all had awesome immune systems and still do today. "Country Strong" is a thing that pays huge health dividends for life.
