Aluminum Air Compressor\'s And A Note To Owners
Yesterday my aluminum two stage air compressor made by Devilbiss blew a head gasket. This information is for anyone owning an aluminum compressor. Check your head bolts to make sure they are tightened down. Out of 6 bolts on the head, only 3 of them were tight. The other 3 were snug. The owner of the service center where I bought my new gaskets told me that is normal for these compressors. He said that they loosen up over time. So check your head bolts and save yourself about $75.00 for a new gasket set. /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif
