8 2013 tractor and weather 279.jpg8 2013 tractor and weather 284.jpghey guys/gals, Ive got an alternator ,the bearing went out,so as my user name suggests,i go willy nilly taking it apart remove brushes (& holder) now I cant remember if both brushes were insulated or just one as one hole in case is smaller than the other,,,it has 4 wires from alt. can anyone help? ps bearings are fine now ...lol

Well I figured it out!!!!!!! I grounded the black wire from the brushes to the case (removed insullater I'd installed between case ) and It's charging like crazy...I'll be sure to take better pics next time before ...thanks again
