Reading, these last few replies, to this thread, gave me an idear of how much it would effect me if'n I was selling a long in my boat and I ask'd my Dads wives' other son "how many knot's are we traveling at" and he replied " I dunno, where is the speedometer at?" I tole him "its right over dere buy da ampmometer" and he said "no it haint, it be rite buy the earl pressure guage". He repleid " were only going 25 knots per hour so the wind must be effecting our'n speed. This crazy talk had such an affect on me that I turnt the boat around and speeded back to the dock. When he seen I wasn't takin him fishin he threatened to whelp me but Id had enuff and went to home.
My old English teacher would whup me if she knew I rote sometin like this. Now ifn yall don't have anything else ta do, figure out how many mistakes are in this replie.
Reminds me of the bumper sticker I saw in Texas..."Oil in the Family"... "Awl" or "All", by the way, is the way they pronounce "Oil" in some places. Sharn Jean is from East Texas, and it took a while for me to get used to some of their funny little phrases...like "would like me to carry you to the store today?"
