Hello folks, I'm so tired of buying portable sprayers over & over again! I have bought good, better & best different manufactors & stores! The ones that lasted disappeared & others don't last very long! Seems like I've spent a small fortune on pumpup sprayers! yadi yadi yadi, etc! SORRY TO GO ON. BUT!! Anybody got any good plans on making a sprayer for around the barn & yard that would last! Maybe one that I could move hose from container to container! Another BTW, I've got a helium tank used to fill ballons, does anybody got any ideals on re use , NEVER MIND , it says "Transportation of refilled bottle-penaly of $50K & 5 yrs in prison" can't afford those 2, I'm already married! /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif Thanks for help, roho

I don't have any plans, but I bought components from Northern Tool and built my own. Here is a link to the picture gallery with photos of my sprayer.

My Dual Tank Spray Rig

I built it on a "carry all" frame and used "off the shelf" parts for everything. It uses 2 12 volt pumps, and I installed a 12 volt receptical on the tractors (there are pictures there too) as well as waterproof switches (pictures of those too)

ROH… A Idea…

If you have a Pepsi, Coke, or other bottling co. around you, check with them… MOST if not all have gone to ‘bag in box’ for post mix systems. In doing that they have quit using the 5 gallon stainless steel tanks.

If you have restaurant supply around, you can usually buy those tanks at auction or directly from your bottler… One of these tanks and a 20 pound CO2 bottle and regulator strapped to a 2 wheel dolly makes a great portable self powered sprayer.

Get several tanks, label them for pesticide, herbicide, and fertilizer… they should last forever. They have quick couplers on the tanks, so swapping is quick & easy.

A tank of CO2 is cheap and should last for years. Pop co. or welding supply can refill. Pick up a sprayer wand and a little plumbing, you are in business…

Check with your favorite pop co… they can fix you up if they have not completely switched out of ss cans. KennyV.
