I'm looking at getting a 9 shank all purpose plow. I have 2 two choose from, one is $450 the other is $250 but needs new springs. First, does anybody know what the specs would be on the springs? I'm trying to figure out which is the best deal.

I’ve never actually heard the term all purpose plow. Most would call those cultivators, and that’ll help in your search for springs. Agrisupply has them for $30, just as reference. I’m sure there are other suppliers, that was just the first place I thought to look.
That's what I've always heard then called. Had one once before my great uncle died. That's a sore spot I won't go into. From what I can tell, they have about a dozen names, depending on where you are. I've had the most luck with all purpose plow, probably because that's the name Bushhog uses.
