Well , if you own a 46 backhoe. you know what crummy feet are on the stablizers
there small and just 4 little spikes. and thay have only minimal lift. and pavement work is out of the question :( . why JD dropped the ball on this i will never know:rolleyes: . after a very long search to see if anyone made a flippad for dirt and street for the 46 hoe . I found very little. and what i did find , i figured i could do it better..( and i did )...:) Big thanks go's to Brett6284D for sending me detail pictures of his 448 foot , so i would have a pattern. and i went to work. this was quite a job to figure all the geometry for it to work perfect. 46 and 448 leg is different. and i could not use just plain steel it would soon fatige and bend. so i finally located some very i tensel steel. man was this hard to cut and work. i bought a set of 448 street pads. and thats what i built them off of. There monsters....:D I changed the geometry a bit. as you will see. tractor lifts like a 3720 with a 448 now. quite a bit higher than the factory 46 does . with a much larger foot print. and thay flip right over to work in dirt or street. it uses the factory pin and cotter keys. and looks like thay came on the tractor. the way JD should have done it in the first place. and ya it does make the tractor look mean , and gives it some subtance. and much more stable on slops. thay were expencive and time consumeing to make but i felt it was needed and worth it. Your probebly saying. Well Do Thay Work???
Yes , i already tested them on concreat and dirt. and thay exceeded my expectations. I am pleased. You look and tell me if you think thay work well.;)
Johnny D can get some air now.....:)

Chris...:)

Thank you for cleaning up the thread - and bringing it back on track

I find, as do others find this type of thread extremely helpful. Lots of 2320 & 2520 with 46BH owners out there who are scratching their heads as to why Deere offered a one-dimensional footpad.

Not enough pictures on the subject as it stands.....nice work Chris2520!!
