I might like to come out sometime to check out your tractor AND your barn. A barn/garage is something else I have on my list.

I have about 80 acres about one mile from Henderson. As far as I am concerned this is God's country. I will be a happy man if I never live in another subdivision. We lived in Troy for two years and are approaching our first year out here.

Oh yeah, you better keep an eye on the weather this weekend!

Yes it is a small world. I was in grad school 93-95. After school I went to work for a paper company in South Carolina for four years and then went to work for a forestry consulting firm.

I remember hearing that you went to work for Gulf States, I wondered if you got caught up in that mess. My current employer has gone from 80 employees to 20 in the last two years. We are working to build our business back up after some serious setbacks.

I do a little bit of everything now and even get out in the woods periodically. I telecommute most of the time which works out pretty well for the technical part of the job (GIS, reporting, some programming) and not so well for the people part (meetings, staying in touch, etc). It is a challenge but like I tell the guys in the office, "I am just proud to be here".

Yeah... Katrina keeps movin' further and further over our way and may be building up some steam... NOT GOOD! I am so sick of rain... it has rained for 40 days and 40 nights... I thought thought He said He wasn't gonna do it again??? Okay... maybe it hasn't been consecutive and solid, but it sure has rained an aweful lot and ALMOST everyday.
