Where is the "air vent cock" on a CK20 injector pump?
Manual says to open after filter change, I cleaned the filter, which was dirty, and am going to replace but confused as the manual states after filter change to open "air vent cock" on injector pump, run engine for 30 seconds, have looked but darned if I can see anything that resembles a cock valve to open and bleed the air.

Its on the fuel filter housing* NOT on the IP. It should be a three position lever. Close the valve before removing the filter, then change filter, and after the filter is in place open the valve and you shouldn't have any air issues.

* This is assuming it is same setup as DK series.

Don't know if I did it right or not but I removed one of the 2 screws just to the right of the cock valve (fuel shut off) on the filter housing, let it run out some diesel and then did the same to the next screw.
It started up and ran so I guess it is okay.

Good job! Seems like you got it. Make a note for next time to shut off fuel to filter bowl and then open after having replaced the filter and probably filling the bowl with fresh clean fuel before opening the petcock. Always check for leaks! :)
