john deere 2010 diesel
John Deere 2010 Diesel

Tractor loses power then shuts down.

Air in sediment bowl Sediment bowl is first stop, wouldn't the air be getting in between the tank and sedment bowl. the air rushes in in tiny bubbles coming out of the fuel line from the tank. No visible fuel leak anywhere.

Possible fuel restriction coming out of fuel tank or fuel filter leaking at base. Since it's gravity feed then there's no lift pump to cause problems.

Thanks Tx Jim
I have tried replacing the sediment bowl gasket but no matter what I do it still leaks. Do they worp? How can I make sure to order the right sediment bowl and shutoff unit. Are they standard (one size fits all)? Is there a way to find the part number? It is a John Deere 2010 Row-Crop Utility Diesel Tractor? And there is no shutoff valve on the tank itself. So I am dreading replacing it abit.
