Jessie Jackson has added former Chicago democratic congressman Mel Reynolds to the Rainbow/PUSH Coalition's payroll.

Reynolds was among the 176 criminals excused in President Clinton's last-minute forgiveness spree. Reynolds received a commutation of his six-and-a-half-year federal sentence for 15 convictions of wire fraud, bank fraud & lies to the Federal Election Commission. He is more notorious, however, for concurrently serving five years for sleeping with an underage campaign volunteer.

This is a first in American politics:
An ex-congressman who had *** with a subordinate won clemency from a president who had *** with a subordinate, and then was hired by a clergyman who had *** with a subordinate.

His new job: Youth Counselor

In an era where ethics is "relative" anything is possible. The only way for things to change is for people to comment and not be shy about offending anyone with inherent "protected" status. Some behaviors are simply wrong -- that's right wrong and right do exist regarless of race, color, or creed.

Gee ... makes you wonder if that's because Illinois is just about to cram Rainbow Jackson's tax exempt status up his nose ... seems the "reverend" cannot manage to get Arthur Anderson to cook his books for him ... he's only 8 months delinquent, again!, in providing the mandatory tax doxuments. Of course, this doesn't seem to bother the IRS ... but it is starting to the state government. Guess his blackmail, oh ... excuse me, donation solicitations, have been getting too blatant.
Of course ... the "reverend" blames all these problems on us "rabid right wing conservatives". Shame on us for expecting that he would follow the sames laws the rest of us are bound by ... why, how bigfoted we must be!
