Snow Equipment Buying/Pricing Agro trend vs Blizzard Snowblower

I have narrowed a purchase down to a Agro trend 3078 with hydro shoot brand new for 3100 pu tax vs a used 2010 blizzard 74" with hydro shoot for 2100 plus tax

The blower will be going on a kubota 4740. The agro trend is a very heavy duty unit and seems to be built well. The Blizzard is more standard duty and again seem to be constructed very well.

$1000 bucks is substantial, but over the long haul is not a whole lot of money. Should I gowith the agro trend tank or the blizzard?

Can't tell you about blizzard. I have an Agro Trend and it is a very solid unit that has been completely satisfactory. The hydraulic chute is probably worth about 400 if I recall.

Lungdoc how has the cable hydro shoot worked? Any issues thanks Mike

The chute works perfectly, spins it around really fast. I keep it cleaned of snow after each use and spray Fluid Film liberally before use to keep everything lubed and less likely to attract snow.

I have a Blizzard 74 and a 1/4 mile gravel drive and get along fine. I'd buy the Blizzard and pocket the $1000.

My Kubota front mount blower worked fine all last winter. I'm pretty sure it's made by RAD who also makes the Blizzard. I'm not sure if mine's a heavy duty and the Blizzard is not or if they are both the same. My chute is hydraulically rotated and connects directly to the loader control, never had a problem with it, not sure how the rear blowers operate though.
