I googled "agricultural drain" but could not find any information on the size or distance between two pipes. Thank you.

More information too like flow, slope, lifespanrequirements, etc.

The land is pretty much flat, all sandy with some organic soil underneath. There is no good drainage ditch or creek. How do I create a low spot from flat land? I haven't thought about life span. Greater than 10 years would be nice. Thanks.
By the way, the article has a photo of some huge machine digging and laying drainage pipe. Is this expensive?
