Aggressive black bees?

Back when I was working lawncare years ago. Bald face hornets built a huge nest on the side of a building. My co-worker not being the sharpest tool in the shed threw a big stick and broke the nest open. I can still remember him running away in a full sprint and watching his back arc as his was drilled by those things. One of the top 5 of funniest things I have ever seen. They are aggressive no question about it.

Too bad you don't have a video to put on YouTube...:laughing: bet your co worker never made that kind of mistake again.

Agree....HORNETS !!! Have never seen a nest built in berry bushes before though. If it were mine to get rid of, I would wait until the dead of night when they were all asleep, then sneak up and cover the nest with a big plastic trash bin with a quarter-inch hole drilled in the top. Weight the trash bin down, then when daylight comes empty a sprayer full of bug killer (Sevin mixed really strong) thru the hole. Let the trash bin stay there for at least a week, they will die of heat, dehydration, starvation, or the Sevin.
