I recently hooked a log splitter up to the original front FEL pump on my ford NAA. The 4 inch ram on the splitter is a bit slow for
my liking. I was wondering about a cheap replacement and came across this pump on Ebay# 391285148583. Sorry I don't have enough
posts to attach links. It is a 21 gpm bidirectional pump. Was wondering if this would speed up my splitter and still operate the front loader properly.
Not sure why it has a rear drain port? Any other inexpensive options out there?

Thanks, Pete

That pumpis rated at 21gpm@3600 rpms. How many rpms does your tractor run. Less rpms equals less gpm with that pump. Not sure the speed of your engine but I suspect you would only get about half those flow numbers.

My tractor currently flows 5gpm so I am hoping that even running this slower than 3600 will still exceed my current 5 gpm's by a substantial amount. I chose this pump because it has the highest flow of the ones listed. Not sure exactly how the plumbing would work seeing that this pump has a drain port?
