Has anyone added their own rear hydraulic ports? I just can't bring myself to pay the dealer for the kit. I work with hydraulics a good bit at work and with some direction on where to start I'm sure I could do it.TC25 Gear 2001

The kit for the #1 valve from cnh is:

718348056 REMOTE CONTROL VALVE Kit, Single Spool Rear Remote Control Valve #1, Includes: Ref. 2 thru 28, Order Thru Wholegoods, Start Year: 09/01/1998

I've included a link to how it mounts to the tractors hyd cover.

it's a fairly intricate valve block... not something you could easilly turn out of a block of aluminum and mount.

aside from finding a high pressure line from the pump and simply tapping off there via a power beyond valve, and then returing the flow to the line.. I doubt there will be an easy way. If this machines power steering are fed off of those hyds, you will need to make sure they are still powered when using the remotes.. I know my 7610s taps it's hyds for the ps from the hyd cover....

how bad is the kit price? 700$ - 900$ I've paid that on old fords to get remote valves.. pretty common... beats redesigning the wheel...

Buy the kit and install it yourself. Decent instructions are included. Time you get done with machine work and generic compionents, you will have 2/3 the cost and a cobbed-up TC25 with hoses runing all over and a valve bolted to the fender.

ditto. . .especially the "cobbed-up TC25" part. New Holland makes easily installed remotes that look good and work just as well.

Ditto to what Chris, Rick and Jim said. I have 2 rear remotes on my TC25D and the factory parts are first class and as Rick said, easy to install, provided you take the rear wheel off. :)

Thanks guy's for the info, and I don't want to cobble up my machine. So I guess I'll bite the bullet and get the kit from CNH and do it right. Thanks again.

Thanks for the diagram, Soundguy.

I bought the parts for one of the rear remotes from Messicks website. Bought the other one from a dealer in Maine. I also buy all my maintenance items from Messicks' website and the hydro oil cooler kit (the one that eliminates the elbow hoses) via their website.
