Kubota B2150 w/FEL
Well, I found a B2150 and was interested in buying it until I realized it does not have power steering. I was a bit surprised as I remember reading somewhere that B2150's with 4wd have power steering as a standard option. Anyway, does anyone have any idea on what is exactly needed to add this and how much it would cost in parts? I realize that I would need a pump, cylnder, brackets, hoses, belt... but specifics would be appreciated. Perhaps a power steering upgrade kit is available? Unfortuneately the dealer selling the tractor does not have a service manual for the tractor. Tried looking at various part web sites but could not find anything. Also, how difficult would it be?

Our first Kubota was a B2150 HST/Bi Speed Turn.I did not know that the 2150 was offered without power steering.

Ours had a "Power Steering" decal on the side of the hood.Seems very odd to me that this unit has no P.S.

The predecessor of the B2150 was a B9200,it also came standard with P.S.

Apparently power steering was an option just as hst and 4wd were. Its interesting that a tractor would have hst, 4wd, position control and not power steering - go fugure.

I put power steering on my farm tractor. It made a new tractor out of it! Before the power steering you could not turn the steering wheel with the bucket full unless you were moving. I had to pick the front tires off the ground with the FEL to make sharp turns in tight areas. A real pain.

I pulled the whole power steering system out of a junked car and adapted it to fit the tractor. Not too hard to do, but a bunch of fooling around...

Something is STRANGE here. I had a B-2400 HST/Bi speed turn model too ( I'm glad kubota got out of that design), and I remember that all the models had power steering. It was an integral setup.

If my memory serves me correctly, I believe I have a factory shop manual for all those models. Kubota lumps all the letter designation models into one manual. I will have to go in the attic and take a look. I get factory manuals for all my tractors and when I trade them in, I usually keep the manuals.

I always turn in the manuals that come with the tractor when I trade it in.

However, I keep the factory manual. That's not the one that comes with the tractor. That's the one that costs you about 150 bucks!!! /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif

I haven't had time to go up and look either. I just came in for a soda as I am weed wacking around my pines. Too bad Kubota dosen't make a weed wacker. I have to settle for a Stihl!!
