Adding options to a used 4720???

Hi Guys,

Great site. Thanks for all the insight so far. I'm looking at a 2005 JD 4720 that's in great shape. My only concern with it is that it doesn't have some of the features I want - ie. cruise/motionmatch/speedmatch, diverter switch, top & tilt, etc.

Can someone tell me if one can have these things added on a used machine??? Also, it has a 400x on it. Do any of you think that there's a huge difference between the 400x and 400cx loader?? The heaviest load I'd lift would likely be 1200-1400lb round bales on a spike.

To my knowledge you should be able to add anything you want after the fact. It is usually cheaper to get it when yopu buy it but I don't see why you can't get it on a used machine. The 110TLB was the only one Deere doesn't make extra kits for.

The major difference is the mecanical self leveling on the 400CX. With the loads your doing it shouldn't make a big difference. Just make sure to properly ballast the tractor.
