Years ago, I helped to install a 4-in-1 bucket on a Kubota L2550DT. This
is a Construction Attachments unit, and it is HEAVY. It easily eats up half
of the lifting capacity of the BF400G loader. When I tried it out, I was
less than enthusiastic about 4-in-1s on these older tractors. I have since
become a believer.

Well, that Kubota has a backhoe on it, and the owner did not want to
remove it. Since he was building dirt roads, he really needed some way
of using the 4-in-1 to properly grade. So, he added tilt control. I took
some video a few weeks ago.

It is raining here again, so I can't do any welding, or logging, or dirt
work. :-( So I decided to upload my first videos to YouTube.

Here they are:

I bought a used Bobcat tilt-tach several years ago. Use it on my skid steer, Toolcat and JD CUT. I can not adjust the tilt-tach with pressure on the bucket-it is not powerful enough. The unit weighs about 350 lbs and heavy duty.

Tilt-Tatch Attachment - Bobcat Company

Bad news is the list price of a tilt-tach is over $2200. I bought mine for $750 and it was used once.

Any shots of the back side??

When you go to Youtube, look at all videos under my username (right
side link). I have posted 3 vids....front, left rear, right rear.

Cool attachment. I have never seen one. It seems to be hydraulicly
adjustable using your AUX circuit.

What do you mean you can not adjust tilt-tach with pressure on the bkt?

The pressure of pushing on the tilt-tach creates pressure/friction between the 2 plates that are sandwiched together. The cylinder is between the 2 plates. The cylinder is fairly small and not powerful enough to force the plates to slide across each other. Therefore, when digging/pushing, I can not adjust the tilt-tach on the go. I have to stop, back up a bit and then adjust the tilt. It has the power to tilt if have I have a load such as a full bucket of dirt.

OK, I get it. It seems very useful, nonetheless.

It has been my experience that 4 in 1 buckets on wheel loaders don't work very well and are not worth the extra weight and insatiability they cause.

They are great on tracks but not on wheels

Why do you suppose that 4-in-1s don't work so well on wheel loaders? I
assume you mean the very large articulated loaders. It is true that you
don't see 4-in-1s on those machines. No rear attachments, either.
