In tight or windy conditions nothing beats a hydraulic or electric dampaner control.

Had time today to work some more. Snow storm outside to inspire me.
Here's a pic of the things hanging together. With the chute at max deflection and the cylinder fully extended. This will be the mounting position of the bracket.

Now here is the bracket tacked in place.

Looks good. That is quite the storm out there isn't it?

I spent all day outside moving round bales that got delivered yesterday and then proceeded to fire up the blower and get rid of the snow. This is the first snowfall since I've had the tractor - two winters, where I was thankful that I have a blower instead of a blade.

The hydraulics would sure be nice. Talked to the dealer I bought my blower from while picking up a sunshade yesterday about the hydraulics. He said he'd recommend that I just trade in for a unit with the hydraulics already installed. He's a pretty good guy so I expect him to give me a real fair deal on trade. Plus I'll probably move up to a 72" blower so that if I go up to a GL some day I can keep the blower with the hydraulics.

For now, I've spent all my money on a sunshade and lights so other projects will have to wait.

as far as your cylnder stop if you go to a farm store they should have some rings that snap around the rod if the cylnder farmers usually use them to limit depth of tillage

I'll check that out Brett.

I am all done fitting and painting.

Canoetrpr, you were asking about the rotation.

I still have to fit the PTO shaft, route and secure the hydraulic lines. I hope I guessed right on the line length.
We have a lot of snow here but ironically after Christmas I will be taking the the blower to the tractor. 3 hours south and little snow yet.

Hope to get some action shots after Christmas.

Well I got the blower and the tractor together in time to watch the last bit of snow melt 4 days ago. It's now been snowing for two days, but so far not even 6" accumilation.
I think I'll give it another hour or so then I will set out on my maiden snowblowing voyage. :) I do not have spare shear pins so I'm going to set the skids to keep the blower safe for now.

Still snowing when I decided to give it a try. The blower pushed the snow quite a bit. Possibly caused by the blower being set so high and some ice under the snow. The skid shoes worked very well. I have some new material in the laneway. The shoes knocked some rocks loose but they were well behind the auger, out of harms way.

Might just be me, but I have been running snowblowers for many [many] moons, and never had to adjust my deflector. Now I am at the age, don't know if I could handle something else to be adjusting on while I'm running inches from my pole barn.... :)

Watch this video...he loves to use his hydraulics...:D

That guy is very good with the hydraulics. On my first run I was so busy just running the blower that forgot to not plaster that trailer with snow the first time I went by.
