Adding Hydraulic Attachment

I am adding an aftermarket front blade with hydraulic lift to a B2400HSD. The Kubota manual states that any valve taking power from the mid-hydraulic block should be of a "power beyond" type. My Prince valve shows three connections to the tractor:

1) pressure oil from the tractor
2) pressure oil back to the tractor (from power beyond port)
3) neutral oil back to the tractor

My problem is the mid-hydraulic block from Kubota only has two connections?? I presume these are connections #1 and #2 from above. If so, where do I connect the neutral oil line to the tractor? Appreciate any help.

Terry, I haven't looked at 2400 to see just how precisely it matches the 2710, but you're right about the two connections on the block. Then on the 2710 (and I suspect on the 2400), the third line returns oil to the reservoir (or as the manual says "to the tank port of the hydraulic control valve") just ahead of the rear axle. Maybe the attached picture from the front end loader installation manual will help.

I concure with Bird. I have a B2400 with a loader and that illustration is about right.

I had read the section of the tractor manual referencing the "tank port" but wasn't sure of it's location. The picture really helps alot.

Terry, just a thought, make sure the prince valve has a relief valve. It should, judging by the three hoses. The hose that runs back to tank carries the relief dump oil.

It does have an adjustable relief valve which is preset to 2000psi. I'm sure the relief valve dumps through the return line so I'm good there, however, it does raise other questions:

What is the setting of the relief valve already in a Kubota hydraulic system?
Should my new valve be set the same? higher? lower?
Does anyone's loader manual mention the loader valve relief setting?

Again, thanks for all help. Even when my local Kubota dealer is stumped, I can usually count on TractorByNet readers to answer the mail.

Terry, if your just using the valve for the blade 2000psi is plenty. If you plan on leaving the valve on the machine and plumbed while also using the loader then it should be set to specs. dont know off hand what relief is set to for that machine.yet...

(Kubmech) bailed me out on my aux. valve for my Curtis Snow Blade. There are 3 and 4 position valves tht I would never have known about.

What is the setting of the relief valve already in a Kubota hydraulic system?

On my B2710, it's 1920 to 1991 psi at maximum engine speed and oil temperature of 104 to 122 F.

Yes, my manual does. Which FEL? LA271, 272, 351, 352, 401 & 402 = 1990 to 2000psi, LA301 & 302 = 2100 to 2200 psi.

Should my new valve be set the same? higher? lower?

I think if I were you, I'd leave it alone (preset to 2000psi)./w3tcompact/icons/wink.gif
