I tow farm & hay cutting equipment behind my F-550. It has a flatbed/gooseneck/headache rack on it.
I mounted some typical 2 sided flashing lights from Napa to the rack to aid in visibility since my tail lights get blocked out by what I'm towing.
Installation went good. L/S blinker blinks normally. R/S headache rack light and truck flashers blink really fast. Prolly 3X as fast as normal. What's the solution to getting it to blink at the normal speed.
Thanks

You need a different flasher module, one that is rated for the load that the additional lamps represent. The flasher unit is usually located under the dash. Your Napa dealer can probably help spec the proper replacement.

Have you checked that you don't have a burned out bulb on the right side somewhere? Rapid flash usually indicated a failed bulb in the circuit.

Even more strange: With engine off, turn signals work great on both sides. Once engine is running, turn signals blink rapidly on driver side, normal on passenger side.

This ... Especially since the rapid flash happens with the truck on... but not when off

How did you hook them up? What was the part number of the lights you got? What kind of flasher are you using? These might be good to stick on your equipment.

Pretty sure I bought the lights from NAPA Ran grounds right to headache rack. Ran hots along frame and scotch locked them to hot wires on turn signals (would like to have not used scotch locks, but couldn't find another way without really tearing stuff up)
