I just purchased a M6950 with a loader on it. The loader is currently hooked into the rear remotes. I would like to add a 2 spool valve to run the loader. Is there a power beyond port that I can hook into and if so where would it be located.
Thanks,
Andy
I'm assuming your tractor has two single-spool valves for the remotes and they are now being used for the loader's lift & curl. Are the 2 valves beside the seat?
On the early M-5030 tractors (maybe similar to M-xx50?) the rear hydraulics control valves were mounted on the side of the hydraulic pump/3ph ram assembly - up near the seat, and the tubing ran the short distance to the rear outlets. The remotes & valves were optional - the tractor could have 1, 2, 3 or 4 , stacked beside each other. I think the individual valves were single-spool and gang-mounted like on a backhoe
The simplest way to connect a 2-spool loader valve would be to feed it from one of the existing remotes - with its valve blocked open. That would free up the other existing remote. If the new 2-spool loader valve had the power-beyond feature (plugged port), you could power another open-center circuit from that.
To confirm how your tractor is set up you can request a parts list from TractorSmart which will show where the components are and how they are connected.
