Adding a Tachometer to a BX2230?

It worries me somewhat not having a tach on my BX2230. Is there an easy way to add one? I imagine that the readout would have to be something small and probably digital.

Only other way is to do what they did for the new BXs and put on an alternator with the tach output but not sue how you would get the proper calibration ratio.
Tiny Tach was the solution I was looking at for my BX2230, but I either run it wide open or just a little backed off and that is it.

Wow that link to that thread was a trip down memory lane, that tach is still going strong. To be honest I never look at it, I just go my what I am hearing. I mow and chip at WOT, snowblowing most times WOT unless we have only a few inches. But if it makes you feel better they do work and last.

The digital tach on my BX-25 is tough to read with old eyes, especially in the sun light. I wish it were bigger and darker.
