Add stabilizer spears to pallet forks for round bales?

Searched, but haven't found much...

Considering adding a couple of the short, removeable stabilizer spears to my pallet forks to move round bales. The forks would lift from under the bale and the stabilizers would keep it from rolling off the side.

Any reason that wouldn't work? Just dont feel like buying another implement...

I expect that will work if you even need them. Personally I use a 2 spear bale frame as pallet forks.

Are your pallet forks on the 3 point or FEL?

What size round bales?

Are you loading or unloading a trailer?

Pallet forks will work but a bale spear is better and faster.
Been there done that.

Just moving them to feed cows.

4x5 rounds. Relatively small.

Forks should work for that. Might not need a stabilizer spear.
